Part-Time Worship Leader


OVERVIEW

The Worship Leader will be responsible for worship and audio visual teams.

This will require someone who can recruit, equip, and empower volunteer leaders to help carry out the functions of the worship/AV teams.

We are looking for someone who can: 

  • Lead Worship in both 8:30 A.M. and 10:45 A.M. worship services.
  • Plan worship services well in advance in conjunction with the preaching calendar and Lead Pastor.
  • Develop and equip worship and AV teams to succeed and grow.
  • Communicate clearly with the congregation from the stage, as well as the teams that they lead. (“a people person.”) 


QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Must have a clear profession of faith in Jesus Christ. 
  2. Must be in agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. 
  3. Must be trustworthy and maintain confidentiality at all times. 
  4. Maintain regular rhythms of Bible study, prayer, serving, and financial giving.
  5. Must be committed to sharing the gospel with those who do not know Christ.
  6. A Bachelor Degree is required. A degree in music is preferred.
  7. Must be skilled in playing an instrument (preferably guitar) and singing together.
  8. Must be comfortable with using Planning Center Online and Pro Presenter applications for worship planning/presentation. 
  9. Must be comfortable with reading, editing, and creating chord charts as needed.
  10. Prior worship leadership experience is required. 
  11. Knowledge of backline equipment (cables, worship equipment, amps, DI boxes, etc.) is preferred. 
  12. Must pass a background check through US-One Verify. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

1.   Lead worship each week for the 8:30 A.M. and 10:45 A.M. services.

2.   Conduct two weekly rehearsals on Wednesday evening and Sunday morning before the first service.

3.   Oversee and manage all presentation needs for each weekly worship service. This includes putting all slides, pictures, and other visuals in Pro Presenter for the worship service.

4.   Collaborate with Lead Pastor to plan services at least 3 weeks in advance, as well as scheduling volunteers in well in advance.

5.   Oversee, schedule, train, and recruit volunteers for the worship team and audio/visual ministry teams.

6.   Regularly meet with both worship and AV ministry teams (for prayer and planning).

7.   Regularly attend a Sunday Morning Bible Study (in between services).

8.    Build intentional/disciple making relationships with members of the worship team and AV team.

9.   Continually learn and improve through reading, studying, conferences, workshops, and continuing education.
